Hand Sewn Hexagon Coin Purse - Saturday 29th March 2025 10am-4pm
In this class we will make a coin purse using a metal purse clasp, completely by hand. We will create the body of the purse with hexagons, hand quilt it, line it and add the clasp.
We will begin the day at 10am with a welcome introduction, drinks and biscuits. Next we will discuss the English paper piecing method of patchwork and talk about glue basting and using hexiform rather than paper.
We will make the body of the purse with Liberty Fabrics and add embroidery details.
At 12pm we will break for an afternoon tea style lunch. A menu will be sent to you ahead of time so you can choose what you would like as well as let me know of any allergies and dietary requirements.
After lunch we will line or purses and hand sew the clasp in place. Due to the hand stitched nature of the project, you may need to complete it at home but full instruction will be given as well as all materials needed.
The day will conclude at 4pm.
Classes will be a maximum of 6 people to ensure maximum attention.
Classes are held at my studio in Skelmersdale Lancashire. Classes are for over 18s only. Please note that my studio is on the top floor which requires walking up two flights of stairs and regrettably there is no wheelchair access and no lift. Free parking onsite.
During your visit there will also be the opportunity to look through the items I sell in my shop and to make a purchase if you would like to. Card payment preferred.

Cancellation Policy
In the extremely unlikely event that I need to cancel the class, a full refund for the class will be given but I will not be able to compensate any transport and accommodation costs arranged by you.
If you need to cancel the class after booking, 50% of the cost of the class will be refunded unless I am able to fill your place, and in that case, a full refund will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
