In the Village Appliquè Mini Quilt Saturday 26th April 2025 10am-4pm
In this class we will use hand sewing techniques to create a variety of little houses and cottages. We will embellish our buildings with embroidery details and applique them onto a backing fabric to create a little village scene.
We will begin the day at 10am with a welcome introduction, drinks and biscuits. Next we will discuss the various applique methods we will use in the class and plan our mini quilts.
We will begin making our little houses using a variety of fabrics including some Liberty Tana Lawn.
At 12pm we will break for an afternoon tea style lunch. A menu will be sent to you ahead of time so you can choose what you would like as well as let me know of any allergies and dietary requirements.
After lunch we embellish our houses with simple embroidery stitches and stitch them down onto a backing fabric to create a little village scene. Due to the slow, hand stitched nature you may need to complete your quilt at home but full instructions and all materials will be provided so you can do so.
The day will conclude at 4pm.
Classes will be a maximum of 6 people to ensure maximum attention.
Classes are held at my studio in Skelmersdale Lancashire. Classes are for over 18s only. Please note that my studio is on the top floor which requires walking up two flights of stairs and regrettably there is no wheelchair access and no lift. Free parking onsite.
During your visit there will also be the opportunity to look through the items I sell in my shop and to make a purchase if you would like to. Card payment preferred.

Cancellation Policy
In the extremely unlikely event that I need to cancel the class, a full refund for the class will be given but I will not be able to compensate any transport and accommodation costs arranged by you.
If you need to cancel the class after booking, 50% of the cost of the class will be refunded unless I am able to fill your place, and in that case, a full refund will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
