seasonal sampler mini quilt
Hello friends, I hope you are all well. Today I am going to tell you about my seasonal sampler mini quilt. I've been making this lovely quilt for a few months and it's finally finished. I loved combining EPP, appliqué and embroidery, it was so fun and relaxing to make. Each of the blocks represents one of the seasons of the year and conjures up lots of lovely imagery of nature for me. I decided to make this a free pattern but I've decided to release it in parts over the next few weeks. Rather than written instructions, there will be video tutorials and guidance along with downloadable templates. You can find the videos on my Youtube channel and I will link to the playlist here. You can also find the downloadable templates and any brief written instructions here on my website, in the free patterns area.

There's already a video showing how to do the butterfly block and the proper introduction video will go live on Youtube at 9pm on Monday 22nd June. I hope you will join me in making this lovely mini quilt, I'm so excited to be sharing this pattern with you all. Thank you to everyone who has left me lovely comments about my design, it really means a lot to me.

Hi Emma,
I absolutely love your work - it is beautiful! And your tutorials are wonderful - you make EPP so "doable", thank you! I am absolutely intrigued with the pincushion that is pictured on your 11/1/2019 post - with a wonderful little rabbit (it looks like Beatrix Potter) charm/button in the center. I am hoping you can give me some guidance to make this pincushion. I have a couple of questions - first, what shape did you use to make the top? I have looked and looked at it and I cannot seem to figure out what shapes make up the top. I have many Peter Rabbit fabrics and I would love to make a similar pincushion! And, if possible, can you tell me what the Rabbit is? A button, or a charm? And - it is probably not something available, but it so - where can a similar button/charm be purchased? It looks a bit like there is a clear button below the rabbit.
I love your Seasonal Sampler - I am hoping to start a similar sampler - if I have time!
Thank you for any help you can give me!

Hi Paula,
I'm so sorry I haven't seen your comment until now, my website provider isn't the best for notifying me when comments appear even though it is supposed to. Anyway, thank you so much for your lovely comment, it means a lot to hear that I have made EPP feel doable and I'm so happy to hear you may give the seasonal sampler a go. The pincushion you have seen was a gift given to me by a lovely friend. I've done a bit of research and found out it is the simple sprocket pincushion by downgrapvine lane https://www.instagram.com/downgrapevinelane/ . In the centre is a button but there is a pin pushed into it which has mrs Tittlemouse on in. These pins are made by the very talented Jackie https://www.instagram.com/viajoy.baboopri/ and she makes the most amazing pins of Beatrix Potter characters as well as other sweet animals, she is incredible. I hope that information helps x x
